Hi! I’m Kaitlyn! While I was in college I had many different part time jobs and the one I always found myself pulled back to was babysitting!
Babysitting was and is by far my favorite and the most rewarding “job” I’ve ever done. This is coming from a girl who’s completed so many internships in her field (marketing), so one would think babysitting would be the part time I look over.
But it’s the one that I come back to again and again. I’ve babysat for many families within these 6 years, many of them were long-term and some were short-term/occasional. I built great relationships with the families I’ve worked for as well as babysitters and nannies I’ve met during play dates along the way!
So then I sort of went from Mary Poppins to the babysitting match maker, and connected many families to babysitters and babysitters to families.
I found joy helping families find care and also helping sitters find work! The idea to create a babysitting agency actually came to me while I was babysitting a special girl named Charlotte. We were watching The Babysitters Club together and a lightbulb went off in my head. This is how Riverdale Sitters Network came to be.
But it wasn’t that easy. At first I wanted to help families find care all over the city, but that proved to be too big of a project for me to take on.

Riverdale Sitters Network is the first babysitting agency in Riverdale and surrounding areas. I hope that we can make finding a sitter a quick and easy, stress free process for parents and sitters!

If your sitter has to cancel last-minute, we’ll quickly send a qualified replacement from our standby list, so you’re never left without care.

You interview, hire, and pay caregivers directly. We remain available for ongoing support, backup care, and future matches.
