About the Role
A warm and caring family in Inwood is seeking an experienced, dependable, and nurturing full-time nanny to care for their 5-month-old baby. Mom works from home, so the nanny should be comfortable working independently while maintaining clear and respectful communication with a work-from-home parent.
Responsibilities
Provide attentive, loving care for the 5-month-old baby
Follow the family's established feeding, nap, and daily routines
Prepare bottles and handle feeding-related tasks
Diapering, bathing, dressing, and maintaining the baby's hygiene
Engage baby in age-appropriate play and developmental activities
Take baby for walks and outdoor activities as appropriate
Keep baby's play and care areas clean and organized
Wash and sanitize bottles and baby-related items
Communicate with parents about baby's daily activities, needs, and development
Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for the baby at all times
Assist with light baby-related laundry and tidying
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is someone who genuinely enjoys caring for infants and understands the importance of creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment during this important stage of development. Prior professional infant-care experience required
Experience caring for babies under 1 year old
Infant CPR & First Aid certification preferred/required
Strong understanding of infant safety and safe sleep practices
Reliable, punctual, responsible, and trustworthy
Warm, patient, nurturing, and attentive personality
Comfortable working in a home where a parent works remotely
Able to take initiative and work independently
Strong communication skills
Must be comfortable committing to a Monday–Friday, 40-hour schedule
